Our bodies are the tools with which we move through our world; Parkour is the knowledge of how to use them.

WHAT IS PARKOUR?

Parkour is a generalist movement practice that evolves for each individual into a specialized movement discipline. It becomes unique to the practitioners' interests, supported by the same philosophies of movement in relation to environment.

​

My specializations consist of air aesthetics, dexterity, barefoot, and fluid, reactive Parkour in forested biomes.

​​

While most Parkour athletes train in urban environments (and much of my own training as well), I both prefer and prioritize movement in nature.

​​

SPECIALIZATIONS

PARKOUR IN NATURE

I'm from New England--Connecticut to be exact, and specialize in traversing its landscapes. The land here is old; settled; worn down. The terrain is rough, mountains and forests traversable only via threaded switchback trails--unless you know the straight and hidden paths. It's treacherous, difficult, requiring careful consideration.

​

That's where Parkour comes in, enabling a student to ignore the usual bounds. To remove the stuttering, slow pace through the thick woodlands and fractured mountains. To move with grace, speed, and deliberation.

​

Learn your land and how to move through it--it differs from mine. Much like you can neither hunt nor forage the same foods from differing lands, you cannot always apply the same movements to differing terrains.

​

But you can apply the same mindset. That of adaptation, reaction, prediction, and prescience.

DEXTERITY

REACTIVITY
